About This Service
Ionad Cùram Leanaì Ràthchairn is a community operated Early Years’ Service located in the Gaelteach region Ràthcairn. The service provided educational and learning through the use of Irish language and caters for children from 1 to 6 years. A full day care, part-time and sessional care is provided along with a school aged service. Eligible children participate in the Early Childhood Care and Education scheme (ECCE).The service is a purpose built single storey building consisting of the following: Two care rooms: Seomra Glass facilitates the care and education of children from 2 years 8 months to 5 years. Seomra Dearg provides care and education for children from 4 years to school going age. An additional care room with nappy changing facilities was not in operation. The remainder of the building consists of a kitchen/dining area, sensory room, small group room, staff room and sanitary facilities. There are 3 outdoor spaces onsite with only 2 used by the pre-school children.
