About This Service
First Steps is an early years care and education establishment providing a range of services including sessional, part time and full day care. While registered for children aged 0-6 years of age, children currently attending are aged from 6 months to 6 years old. Opening hours are from 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday for 49 weeks of the year. First Steps is located in the rural village of Glenamaddy in north east Galway. There are 4 care rooms currently in operation namely: Wobblers, Toddlers and ECCE operating from within the main building and the Playschool building located on the grounds of the service. In addition, there is a kitchen in which the cook prepares food daily, adult and child sanitary facilities and a dedicated sleep room is available adjacent to the Toddler care room. There are 2 play areas located at the rear of the service and the Playschool and Toddler care rooms each have direct access to outdoor play areas.
