About This Service

This sessional service was established in 2003 to provide care and education to children aged between 2 and 6 years old. The service operates Tuesday – Friday, 9.15am – 12.45pm for 38 weeks of the year. Places are funded under the Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE) for eligible children. The service is operated from a large room in Drom National School in the village of Drom in north Tipperary. The room is located in a section of the school that is separated from the main body of the school by a secured door. The space used by the pre-school service includes the pre-school room, sanitary accommodation areas and storage space. The children have direct access to the grounds at the front of the school for outdoor play.
