About This Service
Mead Day Care Centre is a community-based service located in North County Dublin and operates from a purpose-built facility on the grounds of a community centre. The service is registered to provide a full-time and sessional care and education to children aged between 2 and 6 years old, from Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 3:30pm. The service currently operates a full-time service for children between 8:30am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday. The service also participates in the Early Childhood Care and Education Programme (ECCE) and this session is offered between 9.00am to 12.00pm Monday to Friday. There are three care rooms, namely the Big Room, the Purple Room and the Sand Room and these rooms are used interchangeably throughout the day by a group of children who are supported by the same set of staff. On the day of the inspection children were observed to rotate through the different rooms in a safe and structured manner. There is also a kitchen, an office and each care room has its own outdoor play area two of which can be accessed directly from the care room.
