About This Service

Naíonra Fhanada Tír na nÓg is a pre-school service located on the Fanad Peninsula on the northern coastline of Co. Donegal. The service is registered to provide a part-time service operating from 8.30am to 12.30pm on weekdays; however, children are currently attending on a sessional care basis from 9.30am to 12.30pm. The pre- school participates in the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme and is open during term times from Monday to Friday for 38 weeks of the year. This non-profit service operates under Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta Teó. Naíonra Fhanada Tír na nÓg offers care and education to children through an emerging play-based curriculum delivered through the medium of Irish, promoting the natural use of the language among the children. The service is located close to a cluster of other community service buildings and operates within a converted domestic dwelling which has been purposely adapted for use as a pre-school. The service has one large care room with children’s sanitary facilities attached. There is also an entrance hall, kitchen/storage area and staff toilet and meeting room (not currently in use) to which the pre-school service has exclusive access during its hours of operation. A fully enclosed outdoor area is located at the front and side of the premises.
