About This Service
Naíolann Arainn is a purpose-built premises on Inís Mór island, located off the west coast of county Galway. This community preschool is registered as a full day care service. The preschool offers a sessional care programme/ Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) pre-school care programme from 09.00 to 12.00 from Monday to Friday. The service promotes the native Irish language and promotes the Irish culture of the island. The preschool service offers a child led play-based curriculum focusing on emerging interests. There are 4 playrooms on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor of the premises. There are a designated kitchen/utility and 2 offices with adjacent sanitary accommodation. Quiet rest areas with soft seating and matting are available for the children to relax or opt out of an activity if they wish to. There is a designated secure outdoor play area to the rear and side of the premises for exploration, fresh air and play activities. The service is currently only operating a sessional service.
