About This Service
Naíonra Bhéal Áthá an Ghaorthaidh is an established early years service that first opened in 2004. The service provides sessional care and is registered to accommodate children aged 2 to 6 years. On day of inspection the children were aged between 2 years 8 months and 6 years and were availing of the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme. Daily opening hours are from 09:00 to 12:00 hours each day Monday to Friday. During the summer months of this year, the service changed address and moved from the local national school to the resource centre building located in the rural village of Ballingeary in Co Cork. The service operates from one part of the resource centre building. The early years service has its own entrance door, two playrooms, adequate number of adult and children’s toilet and nappy changing facilities, administration office, kitchen and sluice room. Only one of the playrooms was in operation at time of inspection. The children have access to an outdoor area beside the premise.
