About This Service
The pre-school service is located on the grounds of the primary school known as Scoil Bhuaile Beag in Boley Beg, West County Galway. An Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programme and sessional care programme is offered from 8.30hrs to 11.30hrs, Monday to Friday for children aged between 2 years and 8 months to 5 years. A child centred play-based curriculum focusing on the children’s emerging interests is offered. The preschool operates from a modular unit to the side of the national school. There is one large playroom an entrance hall and sanitary facilities. A quiet rest area is available for the children to rest and relax in the playroom if they choose. The preschool children have access to an outdoor play area in the front of the national school for children’s play activities, fresh air, and exploration and a green park area which is shared with the school children at allocated times.
