About This Service
This part time service is located to the rear of ‘Ghaelscoil De hÍde’ national school in the village of Oranmore, Co. Galway. The preschool offers an Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and sessional care programme with a play-based focus, from 8.25hrs to 11.25hrs and a part time service from 8.25 hrs to 13.25hrs, Monday to Friday. The premises consists of 2 modular buildings with a playroom, sanitary area and office in Seomra 1, a playroom, a storage room/kitchenette and sanitary area in Seomra 2. There is a sheltered area and wooden decking interlinking the 2 units outside. The preschool caters for children aged between 2 years and 8 months and 6 years. The service also offers an afterschool programme from 13.30hrs to 18.00hrs for school aged children. Quiet rest areas with child size couches, soft matting and stackable beds are available in each playroom for children to rest/ sleep or opt out of an activity if he/ she wishes to do so. There is a designated secure outdoor play area to the rear of the premises.
