About This Service
The service operates from a purpose-built building adjacent to the national school on Inis Oirr, off the coast of Galway. The programme of care is facilitated Monday to Friday 09.00 to 12.00 providing sessional care for preschool children aged 2 to 6 years of age. The programme of care and learning is provided in the main playroom The Naíonra. The preschool is governed by Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta and the service is conducted through the medium of Irish. The children’s learning is based on emerging interests and is child led. There is a designated play area to the side of the premises and the children have allocated time slots on the school playground and grass area.
