About This Service

This part time service is registered to accommodate children from 0 to 6 years of age. The service operates between the hours of 09:00 and 13:00 on a Monday to Friday basis. Children aged 0 to 6 years are enrolled in the service on a sessional basis only.The service participates in the Early Education and Care scheme though the medium of Irish langauge. The Early Years’ Service is located in a classroom of the local Gael Scoil in Athlone, Co Westmeath. A second pre- school room to accommodate twenty-two children was registered by TUSLA on the 10 July 2023. This room is currently not in operation. The service has the use of the national school’s outdoor play area located adjacent to the service. The hall in the national school is available for use by the pre-school children.
