About This Service
from 0 to 6 years and for children attending the Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE). The service is currently registered to cater for 82 children. The service also operates a school aged care service. The service proposes the following: To increase the overall number of children attending the early years facility at any one time from 82 to 85. The 3 additional children will be from the 0 to 3 age group. Premises The service operates from the centre of Caherciveen town, from a two-storey terraced period style building which has been suitably adapted to provide a childcare facility. There are four playrooms, two of which occupy the original building, and two playrooms are situated in the new detached two storey wing to the rear of the property. The service is situated adjacent to a public car park which allows for the safe arrival and departure of the children with their parents. This inspection concentrated on an additional room converted into a playroom located near the existing creche room on the ground floor.
