About This Service

Scamps & Scholars Childcare is an early years community setting offering a choice of full day, part-time and sessional services. The Early Childhood Care and Education (Scheme) is facilitated with morning sessions operating from 9.00 am until 12 noon and the afternoon sessions operating from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. While registered to operate from 7.30 am until 6.00 pm current opening hours are from 7.30 am until 5.45 pm, Monday to Friday for 51.5 weeks of the year. A breakfast club is available from 7.30 am until 9.00 am and a school age service operates from 1.30 pm until 5.45 pm. Scamps & Scholars Childcare community setting is located near the rural village of Killorglin, County Kerry. The service is a two-storey purpose built early years facility. The ground floor consists of a reception area, five care rooms namely: Wobblers Junior, Wobblers Senior, Toddlers, Ladybirds and Caterpillars, an office and a professional kitchen. The first floor consists of two care rooms namely: Bumble Bees and Montessori Butterflies, an office and a staff room. In addition to the existing adult and children’s sanitary facilities three new children’s toilets and two new adult toilets have been built since the last inspection. A car park is located at the front of the service and age segregated secure outdoor play areas are located to the rear and side of the building.
