About This Service

This sessional service was established to provide care and education to children aged between 2 and 6 years old. The service operated from 9.00am to 12.30pm, Monday to Friday for 38 weeks of the year including a three-hour session from 9.00am to 12.00pm funded under the early childhood care and education scheme (ECCE/free pre- school) for eligible children. This is one of two service operated by North Tipperary Community Services, known as Silver Arch Family Resource Centre. The service is operated from rooms in a community hall in the village of Portroe, near Nenagh in North Tipperary. The service consists of a main early years room with a large space between the main hall and the early years room which is used by the service for physical movement activities. The children also have access to two outdoor play areas: one at the front and one at the back of the premises.
