About This Service

The Grange Preschool and Early Years Centre is one of two early years services owned and operated by the registered providers in the East Meath area. This service is registered to accommodate a maximum of 98 pre- school children on a sessional, part-time and full day care basis. The service accommodates pre-school children from 6 months to 6 years of age and school age children up to 6th Class in primary school, operating for 51 weeks each year. Eligible pre-school children are facilitated to participate in the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme for 38 weeks each year, with starting times staggered to commence at 9.00am and 9.30am each weekday for ease of parking and to reduce traffic movement in the vicinity of the service. The service is conducted from the ground floor of a purpose built two story premises located in a residential setting on the outskirts of Drogheda. Seven care rooms are in operation, namely the Baby Room, the Toddler Room, the Twos Room, the Junior Pre-school Room, the Senior Pre-school Room, Sessional Room 1 and Sessional Room 2. Ancillary accommodation includes a sleep room situated between the Baby Room and the Toddler Room, a kitchen, an office and a staff room.
