About This Service
setting since 2015, run under the auspices of Women’s Aid Dundalk. The service caters for pre-school children on a sessional, part-time and full day care basis from the age of 1 year until they commence attendance at primary school. The service currently operates from 9.00am to 6.00pm from Monday to Friday with the state funded early childhood care and education (ECCE) scheme provided for children of eligible age and delivered from 9.00am – 12.00midday daily. Premises The Playroom Project is conducted from is a purposely renovated 2-storey building with four care rooms in operation, all of which are located on the ground floor, namely the Waddler room, the Toddler room, the Junior Preschool room and the Senior Preschool room. Ancillary accommodation includes an entrance lobby and reception area, a kitchen, sanitary facilities, a laundry room and storage which are provided on the ground floor and an office and staff room located on the first floor. Outdoor play areas are provided to the rear and side of the building.
